Submito vs Formspree
Formspree sends the email.
Submito closes the lead.
Same one-line setup. But your submissions land in a pipeline on EU servers instead of dying in an inbox. Built for agencies running forms across a dozen client sites.
Formspree is a clean, reliable way to email yourself a form submission, and for a single site that is plenty. It gets thin once forms are client work: leads pile up in an inbox, nobody is sure who replied, and you find out a form broke when the client calls. Submito keeps the one-URL simplicity and adds the part that matters at that point — tracking the lead to close, and being able to say exactly where the data lives.
What you get that Formspree doesn’t
A pipeline, not an inbox
Each submission becomes a card you move from new to contacted to closed, assign to a teammate, tag, and set a follow-up reminder on. Formspree's job ends when the notification email sends.
EU-hosted, GDPR-honest
Submissions are personal data. Submito stores them on EU servers under a written processor agreement, with one-click export and retention controls. With a US backend, that is a question you answer for every client.
You will know before the client does
Submito checks your endpoint on a schedule and alerts you the moment it stops accepting submissions. Silent form failures are how agencies lose leads for weeks without noticing.
One workspace per client
Separate each client's forms, team, and access instead of scrolling one long list. Invite collaborators with roles so the right people see the right leads.
Moving over takes a minute
Switching is a find-and-replace, not a rebuild.

When Formspree is the better pick
If you are shipping one personal site, never touch GDPR, and a notification email is all you want, Formspree does that well — you do not need a pipeline. Submito earns its place when forms become client work: several sites, a team, and leads you are expected to actually follow up on.
