Billing & Plans

Understand plans, upgrades, and what happens when you cancel.

Available Plans

Submito offers three plans. All plans include all features - they differ only by volume limits, workspace count, team size, and data retention:

All plans include the full feature set: pipeline management, webhooks, API keys, form monitoring, spam protection, captcha integration, and email notifications. Higher plans unlock more volume, not more features.

Upgrading

Go to Account > Billing and click Upgrade Plan. Select your new plan and complete checkout. Upgrades take effect immediately - your new limits are available right away.

When upgrading mid-cycle, you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.

Downgrading

You can downgrade your plan at any time from Account > Billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period - you keep your current plan's features until then.

Check your limits before downgrading

If you exceed the lower plan's limits (e.g. more than 3 forms on a Free plan), existing forms and submissions are not deleted. However, you won't be able to create new forms until you're within the limit. Submissions over the monthly limit will be rejected until the next billing cycle.

Cancelling

Cancel from Account > Billing > Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, everything continues working normally.

After cancellation, the account moves to a read-only state:

  • You can view and export all existing submissions for 30 days.
  • Forms stop accepting new submissions.
  • After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.

Resuming a Cancelled Subscription

Changed your mind? Go to Account > Billing and click Resume Subscription before the billing period ends. Your subscription continues as if it was never cancelled.

If your billing period has already ended, resubscribe by clicking Choose a Plan. If your data has not yet been deleted (within the 30-day grace period), it will be restored.

Payment Methods & Invoices

Submito accepts all major credit and debit cards. Payment is processed securely via Creem. To update your payment method or download invoices, go to Account > Billing > Billing Portal.

Payment Failures

If a payment fails, Submito sends an alert email immediately and retries automatically. You have a 7-day grace period to update your payment method before the workspace enters read-only mode.

Update your card in the Billing Portal - a successful retry will be attempted once the new card is saved.

Exporting Your Data

Before cancelling, export all your data from Data Export. You can export all submissions across all forms as JSON or CSV, and request a full GDPR export of all account data.
