Workspaces
Organize forms and submissions by client using workspaces.
Overview
A workspace is an isolated container for forms, submissions, team members, and settings. The recommended pattern for agencies is one workspace per client. This keeps each client's data completely separate and lets you invite client-side contacts to their own workspace without giving them access to other clients.
Creating a Workspace
- Click your workspace name in the top navigation.
- Select Create Workspace from the dropdown.
- Enter a name (typically the client's name) and click Create.
The number of workspaces you can create depends on your plan:
| Plan | Workspaces |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Solo | 5 |
| Team | Unlimited |
Switching Between Workspaces
Click your workspace name in the sidebar to open the workspace switcher. All workspaces you belong to are listed - click any to switch. The app reloads in the context of the selected workspace.
The active workspace is shown in the sidebar header. If you're working across many client workspaces, check the header to confirm which one you're in before making changes.
Workspace Settings
Access workspace settings from the sidebar navigation or by going to Settings. Available tabs:
- General - Rename the workspace or update its display settings.
- Members - Invite, remove, and manage team member roles.
- Emails - Add and verify email addresses for form notifications.
- Connected Apps - Set up webhook integrations.
- API Keys - Create and revoke API keys for programmatic access.
- Danger Zone - Transfer ownership or delete the workspace.
Read-Only Mode
When a workspace's subscription is cancelled or expires, it enters read-only mode. In this state:
- Existing submissions are still accessible and exportable.
- Forms stop accepting new submissions (endpoint returns an error).
- No new forms can be created.
- Team collaboration features are disabled.
Resubscribing from Account > Billing immediately restores full functionality.
Data is never deleted when a workspace enters read-only mode. You have full access to export your data before making any decisions about the subscription.
Deleting a Workspace
Only the workspace owner can delete a workspace. Go to Workspace Settings > Danger Zone and click Delete Workspace. You'll be asked to type the workspace name to confirm.
Deletion is permanent
Deleting a workspace permanently removes all forms, submissions, files, and settings. This cannot be undone. Export your data before deleting.
If the deleted workspace has an active subscription, it is cancelled automatically. You will not be charged for the remainder of the billing period.
Data Isolation
Each workspace is completely isolated. A team member in Workspace A cannot see data from Workspace B unless they are separately invited to it. API keys are workspace-scoped - a key created in one workspace can only access forms in that workspace.
See Team Collaboration for details on member roles and permissions within a workspace.
